My good friend Hayden Price is a serious mainstay at Utah’s Alta Ski Area. He grew up there and spends most of his days riding those chairlifts. Between a few of his crazy airborne maneuvers, I hung out with him long enough to squeak in a short interview for TGR.

Completely unaware that mountains exist south of Utah’s Lone Peak, I was stunned when Andy offered to show me around the Timpanogos massif. The original plan was to climb and ski the Grunge Couloir, though our direction changed when we were informed of its sparse snowpack.

With literally no plans, Jay and I found ourselves at a Little Cottonwood Canyon trailhead last week. And when I say no plans, I mean that we hadn’t decided which canyon to drive up until we were halfway up Little Cottonwood…at which time we decided that we’d rather have been in Big Cottonwood. Oh well. Too late.
